
Have documents you want shredded? It’s now easier than ever to have your confidential materials securely destroyed. Each municipal Town or City Hall in Ontario County has a bin provided by Ontario County Department of Sustainability & Solid Waste Management to place these materials in. The bin remains locked until the materials are shredded on site by the document destruction company, keeping your files secure. You can recycle your confidential materials with confidence on your schedule- there’s no need to wait for a special collection event.
This program is open to all Ontario County residents, simply visit your closest municipal facility. No business waste is accepted through this program.
Accepted: paper documents, file folders, junk mail
Not Accepted: binder clips, hard cover books, metal (staples and paper clips ARE accepted and don’t need to be removed), non-confidential materials (ex. magazines)
For this program there is a limit of 1 box per household per month. Once material has been placed in the bin it cannot be retrieved.
