  • In Ontario County New York, you can recycle plastic bottles, jugs, tubs, lids, produce containers, and clear cups. Aluminum, tin, and foil food and beverage containers can be placed in your household recycling bin. Corrugated cardboard, boxboard, junk mail, magazines, paper bags, and clean paper are accepted as well. You can recycle glass food and beverage containers. All items should be clean, dry, and empty.

Make sure you only put materials in your bin that are listed as acceptable to ensure that everything you’ve sorted gets recycled. Any material you put in the bin that’s not on the list has to be sorted out and disposed of separately.
