While your bathroom may only take up a little bit of space, there’s big potential for recycling! Here are some popular bathroom products that you can recycle when you’re done with them:
Boxes and Cardboard
- Tissue box
- Toilet paper roll
- Toothpaste box
- Soap carton
Plastic Bottles*
- Body wash
- Shampoo & conditioner
- Cleaning spray
- Hand soap
- Lotion
- Contact lens solution
- Nail polish remover
*Remember: discard the pumps, and the bottles should be empty before recycling them!
Aerosol Cans
- Air freshener
- Hairspray
- Sunscreen
- Saving cream
- Deodorant
Plastic Bags & Wrap
Since they can’t go in the recycling bin, be sure to set plastic wrappings aside (it helps to pack them with your reusable totes) and drop them off at the local grocery store for recycling the next time you’re out.
**Pro tip: Pick up a small trash can that can be used separate these items out from your garbage (it’s a great visual reminder to recycle bathroom items too!)
